As U.S. President Donald Trump prepares to host the first White House Crypto Summit on March 7, over 20 key figures from the cryptocurrency industry have confirmed their attendance. The event, set to take place from 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm UTC, will bring together crypto executives, government representatives, and members of the Presidential Working Group on Digital Assets.
Confirmed Attendees and Key Participants
So far, at least 22 crypto executives and two White House representatives have been confirmed. Among the attendees are notable names like Bo Hines and David Sacks, along with government leaders including Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Attorney General Pam Bondi, and SEC and CFTC chairs. While Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino and Binance co-founder Changpeng Zhao have yet to confirm their participation, Ardoino was seen attending a separate event hosted by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) on March 6.
Controversy Surrounding Trump’s Executive Order
The summit comes just days after Trump’s executive order, which aims to establish a “Strategic Bitcoin Reserve” and “Digital Asset Stockpile.” While some industry leaders view the order as a historic and positive move for crypto, others have voiced disappointment. Critics argue that the plan mainly involves storing confiscated Bitcoin (BTC) without a clear commitment to purchase additional BTC, falling short of expectations. Despite the controversy, some analysts believe the order has removed significant sell-side pressure from the market, potentially boosting Bitcoin’s value.
As the crypto community eagerly watches for further developments, speculation continues over which other prominent figures, such as ARK Invest’s Cathie Wood and Ethereum’s Vitalik Buterin, might make an appearance at future events.
